FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Cardiovascular Training
Boot Camp: Get ready to sweat with basic sport specific movements and cardio drills. Have fun with extremely athletic and challenging movements that merge functional training, weight training, interval drills, and running that will “whip you into shape”!
Heart ‘n Body: A combination of aerobic and resistance training through alternating periods of cardio and muscle toning/strengthening exercises. Participants will use resistance bands, medicine balls, and free weights. Get your heart rate up to your fat-burning zone as you work to improve muscular strength and endurance!
Kickboxing: Everybody is welcome to de-stress in this fun, pre-designed, non-contact kickboxing interval class using no equipment. Cardio and strength based with an intense energy sprint for the ultimate challenge.
Dance
Hip Hop: Enjoy learning fun hi-energy dance combinations while getting a great workout! No prior dance experience necessary - the instruction is skillfully taught to all fitness/dance levels. Funky dance moves, current music, and attitude while burning fat will get you pleasantly energized. By the end of the class you will feel like you are part of a music video!
Latin Rhythms: Have fun and de-stress as you learn salsa, merengue, cha-cha and more in a high-energy, easy-to-follow class taught by a professional Latin Dance choreographer. No dance experience is necessary, just lots of energy and a love for all the latest Latin music dance hits!
Rumba: Latin, Afro-Caribbean and Western dance merge in a one-hour, fun-filled, non-stop experience that will be sure to get your heart pumping! Classes are conducted in 3 to 4 separate combination formats, which make for simple choreographic execution. No previous dance experience required.
Strength, Core, Resistance Training & Stretching
Abs ‘n More: A 30-minute abdominal, mid-section and lower back workout. Perfect before or after your cardio workout!
Body Sculpt: Pure muscle toning and conditioning using equipment such as resistance bands, the Bosu ball, stability balls, mat work, body bars, and more! Guaranteed to make your body tighter and stronger!
Core ‘n More: Challenge your abdominals, lower back, and total core area. Use resistance bands, free weights, the Bosu balance trainer, stability and medicine balls for sculpting moves that are sure to strengthen and tone your entire body. Everybody is welcome!
Lower Body Work: 30 minutes of intense training of the legs, glutes, thighs and lower back to sculpt and strengthen your lower body to perfection. Perfect for all fitness levels!
Strength Interval: Get ready for serious body conditioning with this muscle toning workout consisting of quick transitions from one station to the next using apparatus such as body bar, Swiss ball, bands and more!
Stretch ‘n Tone: Tone all those hard to reach places and improve your flexibility and core strength. Great for all levels!
Total Body Stretch: Tight muscles? Take 30 minutes to thoroughly stretch and relax all those hard-working body parts. You deserve it - And your body will thank you!
Total Body Work: Packed weight room? No problem! Get a full body workout in the classroom using dumbbells, body bars, resistance bands Swiss balls and more. Learn proper body mechanics and weight training techniques that will make you look toned and feel strong - you will see and feel the difference! All fitness levels are welcome!
Upper Body Work: Give your arms, shoulders, chest and back a complete workout in 30 minutes. Ideal for anyone who wants a strong toned upper body. You may want to go shopping for sleeveless tops after seeing the results!
Cycling
Cycling ‘n Sculpt: Improve your cardiovascular fitness as well as muscle strength and tone. Stationary cycling drills on the LeMond RevMaster bike are combined with creative muscle toning exercises performed off the bike to high energy music. Get all your day’s cardio and strength training in 60 minutes or less!
Studio Cycling: Experience this athletic, adrenaline-pumping group workout performed on the LeMond RevMaster stationary bike with high energy music. It will make you feel like a cycling pro!
Yoga
Anusara Yoga: A Hatha yoga system where the human spirit powerfully blends with the science of biomechanics and the universal principles of alignment. This non-dual Tantric philosophy is epitomized by a “celebration of the heart”. Come and explore the possibilities!
Ashtanga Yoga: Strength, stamina and sweat are unique aspects of this traditional yoga practice taught in a sequential order, focusing on detoxification and body alignment. Great for highly-disciplined yoga practitioners!
Energy Yoga: A life force enhancement practice to harmonize and balance the energy of the body. It combines a vigorous traditional Hatha Yoga practice with Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) exercises and meditation to promote relaxation, vital energy cultivation, and well being. Guaranteed to energize people of all fitness levels!
Open Yoga: This lunchtime 2-hour Yoga class is designed for participants of all fitness levels allowing them a break from the workplace to relax and nurture the body and soul. You may walk in or out as needed to fit your work schedule.
Power Yoga: Take yoga to the next level in this intense workout which combines Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow disciplines with intermediate-advanced poses. Recommended for yoga practitioners who are ready for a new challenge.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga: Geared primarily towards students who are somewhat new to yoga (optional poses will be offered for the more advanced practitioner.) Vinyasa means “breath synchronized with movement” and will harness the power of breath to flow through movements for the entire class. Finish with a relaxation that will leave you refreshed and renewed.
Pilates
Mat Pilates: A cross conditioning system designed to shape your legs, hips, back, chest and arms with a precise focus on strengthening your abdominals and your back. Great compliment to any workout! Pilates will transform, re-define and shape your body into a long, lean and athletic streamlined physique without developing “bulky” muscles.

Aquatics
Aqua Workout: Increase aerobic, strength and flexibility conditioning using aqua “toys” and equipment in the swimming pool. Perfect for all fitness levels! No swimming experience required.
